Gracey and the Hulahoop

Make an on-line slideshow at www.OneTrueMedia.com

Gracey got this hulahoop for Easter and it only took her a few times doing it and she figured it out on her own. Jaren and I couldn't even do it to show her how. And now she has mastered the art.

Easter

The Easter Egg Hunt At Grandma & Grandpa Ramsdell's

Ever since I was a kid they always have had a Easter egg hunt for all the Grandkids at grandma and Grandpa's house. Now the hunt is for all the Grandkids' kids. It is always fun to get together and see everybody.

Just a quick note, notice how green the grass is. Montpelier is still a month away from having green grass like this. I always hate going to Logan or anywhere south of here this time of year because it is always green everywhere else but in Montpelier.

Brooklyn and Gracey both got a purse for their prizes. Isn't it funny how when you take pictures in that split second delay from the camera what your kids decide do with their hands.

The tradition that I have always had when I was little, was that the Easter bunny would hide our baskets and then we would have to go find them. So of course we have to carry on the tradition with my kids.

Brooklyn's was hid in the front coat closet and Gracey's was hidden in the dryer. They looked for them for a minute then mom had to help.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Brooklyn adding her personal touch to her easter eggs.

The Final Product (have a few stickers)

When we colored eggs this year we tried an experiment. We used food coloring instead of using those tablets you buy at the store. And also the eggs we were using were brown. Well the top eggs are eggs we colored with food coloring and the ones on the bottom are the eggs Gracey colored at school with the tablets. I think the tablets work better, we had to use a half a bottle of food coloring to get the eggs to color with that. And the color still didn't turn out very true to the color and I don't know if the brown eggs had anything to do with it, they didn't with the ones she colored at school. So probably next year we will buy the kind at the store.

What Cute Kids!!!

Update!

Our life is pretty boring, we do the same old thing everyday. But there are a few things. I finally went to the Doc on Monday, everything is good. I am 14 weeks and he gave me a due date of October 5, so I was a couple weeks off. But hopefully we still will be able to find out what we are having next month. But I sure do hate those first visits, I don't know whats worse the first or the end of the pregnancy. I am not a big fan of PAP tests. It was funny because Gracey wanted to go to the doctor with me and I kept telling her no she couldn't this time but maybe next. She wasn't quite understanding why, but I wasn't about to tell her so she asked me if I was going to go have the baby. Then she preceded to tell me that the feelings inside her were excited for the baby to come. She is so funny.

A week or so ago they had a health fair in town at the hospital. Jaren's parents went and later called us to ask us if we wanted our well water tested. Jaren almost told her no, just because we weren't worried about it. But he told her to go ahead and have it tested. All I can say is it's a good thing. Our water tested really high in nitrate. Which is not good, especially for little kids and pregnant women. I guess what it does, it kills off the red blood cells that carry oxygen to the lungs. That is what the water people told us, she also said that it could cause birth defects. So we thought that that is why Brooklyn's ear is not formed completely. So when I went to the doctor on Monday I asked him and he said that nitrates could cause brain damage. So now we are buying water to cook and drink with. They said it is ok to take a bath in. They came out today to do more tests to see exactly where it is coming from, we should know in a week what the results are. They tested the neighbors water and they are fine so it looks like something in our well. Which is weird because our well is only a few years old and it goes down 135 feet. So we don't know what the heck to think. So a word of the wise have your water checked.

I'm a FOOL!!!!

I feel like the biggest retard in the country. I was April fooled. If you read the first page of the newspaper today, April 1st, it says that the county of Bear Lake went bankrupt. So we, as in Jaren and I read the article and were really bothered by the whole thing. It said a whole bunch of things you'll have to go read it, but one of the things it said was that a county employee was upset because she didn't know what to do about her $750,000.00 mortgage, child support and even her cruise to the carribean. I thought who cares about that. It also said that if you needed to register your vehicle you needed to go to Soda Springs to do so. I was so bothered by the end of the article, it was believable to me with the whole economy. So because I was so bothered I told a few people about it. I told my mom about it and she was worried because the county owes us money for work we did on a truck for them and she thought that we need to go put a lein on the bankruptcy so we could get our money. So Jaren called Greg Skinner, because he is the one over the fixing vehicles for the county and asked him if it was true what we read in the paper and if we were going to get paid for the job we did and he told him that it was true, but he said that they were fine and that we would get paid. He also made a little comment about that it was April 1st,but Jaren didn't think anything of it, why would someone joke about this. I had to take vinyl to Hayden today and I told her about and then after I went to the school for Gracey's screening for Kindergarten and Mrs. Kamack came out and started talking to me and asking what Jaren was doing. And then I asked her if she read the paper yet and I told her what it said not thinking anything about it. Then when I got home Hayden called me and told me the whole thing was a joke. I couldn't believe it. In the paper on the right side of the continued part it said it was all a hoax. I thought it was a total different article because it wasn't right under it like it should be. Well they sure made a fool out of me.
