Rigby Reunion

This year Dustin and Tara held the reunion at their home in Moses Lake, Wa. We got up there late on thursday. Friday we went to the Moses Lake Aquatic Center. It was a lot of fun for all of us, big and little. They had this thing called surf'n'slide, where you could learn how to surf. It was a lot of fun. Callie, the pictures of you and Shawn are right here if you want to copy them. They are the the fisrt two on the surf'n'slide.

On Saturday we went to a Combine demolition derby. It was the highlight of the trip. Where they held the derby was in a small town called Lind, Wa, better known as redneckville USA. I made that part up, but just to give you a glimps of what I mean, while we were sitting there watching the derby the announcer announced "Make sure you have a designated driver for the ride home." I don't know about you but I have never heard anybody announce something like that before. The derby lasted 4 HOURS. We paid $12 a person to get in, only to find no seats, and the seats we did find you counldn't see the combines, you either had to sit up really tall or slouch down because of a huge post that ran across the top of the fence and it was exactly at your eye level. So we found a great place to stand the whole time. The girls had a great time playing in the dirt. This event was quite exciting. They had the first 4 heats with the combines then while the combines were trying to get fixed to run in the last heat they had grain truck races and pickup races. The grain truck races just consisted of any truck that could hold grain and they just drove around the arena and if you got passed then you were out. Last year I heard a girl won! The pickup races weren't that exciting until one of the trucks tipped over right in front of us. It was pretty cool, then they got about 7 or 8 men and pushed it back over and he finished the race. We were ready to go after standing there for about 3 and a half hours so we left right before it ended, we didn't get to see who won, but we wanted to get out of there before the other 5,000 people decide to leave too. We didn't get too many pictures because we forgot our camera back in Moses Lake so the pictures that I took were with my phone. So here they are. If you want to see more pictures go to http://www.lindwa.com/lind'sweekend.html

Right before the derby we went to a waterfall called Palouse Falls, which only is a waterfall in the spring but boy does it put out some water! We could've walked around to it, but we didn't have enough time. Some people stand right over it on the left side.

Thank you Dustin and Tara, for the great hospitality that you showed everybody. You guys are awesome! Hopefully we get to see you soon!

5 years and counting...

It has been an amazing 5 years. But I think for every 5 years you add 10. It feels like I have been with Jaren for FOREVER! Well I wish I could say we went somewhere wonderful, but we didn't. My mom came over that morning and she demanded that she take the girls home so we could do something. So I went to work with Jaren for the remainder of the day. But since we didn't decide until later it was too late when we finally got in the car to go somewhere. So we went over to the lake and ate at the Bear Trapper Steak House, then we went and rented a movie. We rented P. S. I love you. Oh my gosh! I have never cried so hard and so long over a movie before. Good show though! Anyways, I cannot imagine being without Jaren, I love him so much. I am so excited to spend the rest of eternity with him. I love you Jaren and Happy Anniversry!

Crafts

Here are the crafts that I made in my house, there are a lot more but I never thought to take a picture of them. Some of the things that I have made that aren't on here are a magnet board, window magnet board(top part window w/vinyl on it bottom part magnet board), Family Home Evening magnet board, name boards, bookshelfs, we also made an entertainment center but I don't know if I want to make another one, I can put a picture on here of that if someone is interested. I can't think of everything, but I will try to get those pictures on here of those things that I mentioned. If have any questions about prices or anything else feel free to comment and I will try to get back with you. So pretty much you can do anything! I posted the fonts and the vinyl colors, scroll down to the blog archive and just click on them and it should pull it up.

Vinyl Lettering

Some of you know that I have a vinyl machine, and I have talked to a few of you about setting up another blog to sell it. But I have decided to just put some of the things that I have done on this blog. For those of you who would want to buy it I sell it for $2.25 a foot for six inches tall, if it is taller than that I charge another $2.25 a foot. For example, if you did a 12x12 tile the total amount would be $5(.50 cents more if you figure it out, I just make it an even $5). I also do the wood with the vinyl, I actually do a lot more with wood. Through out the next few days I will post some pictures on here of some of the things that I have done, and then I will continue to put the things on here I make as I go. The possibilities are endless you can custom order anything you can think up! And I will try my hardest to make it. I will try to figure out how to put the fonts on here without taking up a lot of space and also the colors of the vinyl.

Good to be home!

We had a great time in Disneyland! The weather was great, got a little sun, but it was good. We got to our hotel Thursday morning and went straight to Disneyland. Our hotel was only a few California blocks(normal blocks would be about 5 or6 blocks) away, so we walked there and back everyday. What a workout! The crowds were pretty good on Thursday, but by Friday night and Saturday the place was packed. So if you ever decide to go to Disneyland, go in the middle of the week. But the girls had fun. The most exciting part of it was just seeing the girls reaction to everything. Three days of Disneyland was enough for me though, I was anxious to come home. So maybe in another 4 or 5 years we will be ready to go again. Thanks for the great trip, mom! Enjoy the pictures!!
